In early September the 100th WASZP build slot was reserved by a sailor from the United Kingdom.
A nice milestone to reach in just two months since the launch of the WASZP.
It’s a great start and so a big thank you to the WASZP 100 for getting behind us.
And as of today, the total stands at 108.
Looking at the numbers we are really thrilled with the global reach that has been achieved.
Here is how the build slot reservations by country breakdown:
So far that’s 18 countries, with boats heading to the USA representing one quarter of the total.
Looking at the American orders there are 15 heading to the East Coast (4 to the North East, 7 to the Mid-Atlantic and 4 to the South East) including 5 boats into New York state and 4 down south to Florida.
Five WASZP’s have new homes in the Mid-West, with Michigan sailors taking 3.
On the West coast there are a total of 7 orders, with five bound for Southern California, with one also heading to the North West out of Seattle.
The Europeans have the largest order book with nearly half of all current build slots.
In that region, Italy has the largest country contribution with 17 WASZP’s reserved – accounting for 33% of the EU total.
In combination with the country split, the regional diversity provides a super strong base to get rolling with ISAF international status.
At this stage we have booked up four months production capacity but once we commence we quickly plan on ramping production up to 12 complete boats per week.
